Their are many well documented accounts of the queen's spending on clothes. marie Antoinette also never wore anything twice.  Marie Antoinette even had her own original hair style, which was describes as a gravity defying pouf. Her way of dressed was called avant-garde, and she also had a provative dressed that beared her ankle. Even when Marie Antoinette was executed, she wore a brand new white chemise that she saved for the occasion! Marie Antoinette's spending earned her the name Madame Deficit. Through out the French Revolution, Marie Antoinette would still be spending all her time and energy into clothes. After all, she had to keep that outrageous and extravagant image.
